Rough Monday Night

Sorry this is short and not full of details like I usually share, that will come later today maybe. But we had a very rough night and we need your prayer. We were at the hospital from 9:30 a.m. Monday to 8:00 a.m. today. I have never experienced anything like I did last night. It was very tough.

Please pray for Roger to be able to handle the stress and anxiety of what he's enduring, for Roger to take it slow, for Roger not to be disappointed at being dependent, for patience and perseverance with his physical and mental limitations and with the staff and please pray for patience and rest for me and the people that are caring for him while I rest.

Thank you all. More details to come later.

Linda, Joey, and I hope and pray that tonight is a better and more peaceful night. I mentioned Roger's surgery while at a 6:30AM "Sunrise Caucus" with Governor Kaine and members of the General Assembly. I send our prayers from Richmond.

I'm going through this with you and keep you constantly lifted up to our Lord whose Word never returns to Him void. Therefore, Psalm 91 always uplifts me and reminds me that our Father is right here. Because you know Him and His name through experience, He will deliver you out of your trouble and heal Roger, so may Psalm 91 comfort you and Roger as well.

Thank you so much for the updates. I know all too well what it's like to stay by the side of an ICU patient. It's hard to be at the mercy of others, and medicine, and you question what God's up to. He's with you both. Hang in there and know that we are praying for you both as well as the staff and everyone involved. Kristian and I will be in DC Sunday night the 19th through Tuesday evening the 21st. Hope to visit you then!
Much love!
